Build a route list before comparing homes

List every repeated trip relevant to your stated plans, not only one workplace. Test the routes from each serious property in both directions and at realistic times.

  • Use NTTA for Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway information.
  • Use DriveTexas and City project pages for current road conditions and construction.
  • Record toll use, alternate routes, parking, and first/last-mile needs.
  • Repeat the test when a property becomes a finalist.

Treat current transit as service-area specific

The City transit page currently describes GoZone on-demand service in a defined central-Frisco area, the Rail District Boxcar pilot downtown, and qualifying demand-response service. Coverage, eligibility, fares, hours, pickup procedures, and pilot status can change.

Open the City and DCTA pages for the current map and terms. Do not imply that a transit option covers every Frisco address.

No fixed promiseTransit presence or a road connection does not establish door-to-door convenience. Test the complete trip.

Use employer sources as context

Frisco Economic Development Corporation publishes company and industry information. Use those sources to understand employment clusters, then verify a role, worksite, and attendance policy directly with the employer before using it in a move decision.

Questions that make the comparison useful

  • Is the worksite fixed, hybrid, or subject to change?
  • Which route alternatives are acceptable during disruption?
  • What would the trip look like without a toll road?
  • Does a transit service cover both endpoints at the needed times?
  • How does travel time compare with the housing and ownership tradeoff?
